Feed is the largest cost line in most grow-out budgets, and the protein fraction is most of it. This category covers the three ingredients we supply into aquafeed formulation: marine fish meal, vital wheat gluten and potato protein meal — one marine protein and two plant proteins that replace part of it.

Fish meal carries the amino acid profile and palatability that marine species are formulated around. Vital wheat gluten does two jobs at once: it adds digestible plant protein and it binds, which is what holds pellet integrity in water. Potato protein meal is a concentrated plant protein with low anti-nutritional content, used in sea bass, sea bream and salmonid feeds where a share of the marine protein is being substituted.

These move in full-pallet or container lots rather than cartons, by reefer or dry container depending on the item — materially cheaper per kilo than air freight and perfectly safe for a dry ingredient. Every batch ships with its certificate of analysis, and free samples go to corporate customers so a formulation can be trialled before a container is committed.
